The B.G. Bandits are pround to announce that we have found a sponsor for our new state of the art
stadium which is due to be completed by the beginning of preseason games.
The official news conference to unveil the new stadium was held at 10:30 this morning. "Bandits
Stadium will now be named Bud Ice Stadium,"
a grinning Eric Valasek announced.
The Bandits have been searching for a sponsor since they announced the new stadium earlier this summer.
Owner Eric Valasek said, "I was looking for a sponsor that I personally supported. It worked out beautifully that my
favorite beer was looking to sponsor a stadium."
The contract with Bud Ice is reportedly worth 8.5 million dollars a year for 10 years.
As part of their deal, Budweiser will receive exclusive vendor rights inside the stadium with Bud Ice being the feature drink.
A tap will be available in each luxury box with unlimited beer included along with the price of the suite.
The team also announced an official tailgate party before every home game. There will be a
live band, free food, discounted drinks at the beer tent, and a pregame television broadcast from the parking lot sponsored
by Bud Ice. The game itself will be broadcast on a closed stadium radio and television channel for anyone who wishes
to watch or listen from portable devices inside the stadium.
In order to discourage any unsafe practices after the game, shuttle service will be provided from
the stadium to a number of selected locations in the area. Also, security will be stepped up in and around stadium parking
lots to discourage drunk driving.
